Dominique Penninck Bio

Dominique Penninck, DVM, PhD graduated from the Veterinary school at the University of Liège (Belgium) in 1981.  After a radiology residency at University of Davis, California (1985-88), and a one-year lectureship in the same institution, she joined the radiology team at the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine, Tufts University in 1989.  She is a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Radiology, and the European College of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging.  She received her clinical PhD from the University of Liège in 1998. She authored and co-authored over 100 peer-reviewed publications and mentored many residents’ projects primarily in the field of clinical ultrasonography.  She is invested in teaching ultrasonography to students, interns, residents, and practicing veterinarians, adopting and developing new methodologies to facilitate the learning of this modality.  She participated in many continuing education events and gave several presentations including keynotes at diagnostic imaging meetings over the past 35 years.  She and Marc-André d’Anjou are the editors of the Atlas of Small Animal Ultrasonography (second edition 2015).
